In a non-election year, it’s easy to become complacent about getting out to vote, but this November there multiple items on the ballot that you need to be aware of and then GO VOTE!

Allen ISD Bond Election – Projects funded include a new elementary school (to relieve overcrowding at Lindsey!), a new Lowery Freshman Center, and renovations at 3 other elementary schools. Read more about it here – http://www.allenisd.org/Page/43281.
Statewide Propositions – There are 7 propositions proposed that would amend the state constitution. You can read about all of them here – http://www.votetexas.gov/november-3-2015-constitutional-amendment-election-ballot-language/. There are 2 that are important to homeowners.
Proposition 1 – Prop 1 provides property tax relief immediately at no expense to our schools, expands property tax relief for seniors and disabled Texans, & prohibits a sales (or transfer) tax on real estate from ever being enacted. Read more about it here – http://texansforprop1.com/
