Audrey, founding partner and Chief Compliance Officer (Broker) of Step Up Realty, is a 10 year veteran of residential real estate. Having experienced both extremes of the real estate market, she is imminently qualified to guide her clients through the ins and outs of their real estate transaction. Audrey’s focus is on building quality relationships. She rarely takes on more than a handful of clients at a time so she can focus on each clients’ unique goals and deliver the service and attention they deserve while guiding them through one of the most significant financial decisions of their life.
Audrey graduated from Texas A&M University (Class of ’97, WHOOP!) with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Electrical Engineering. She began her career at Raytheon, a major defense contractor, and is a graduate of their Engineering Leadership Development Program. After 10 ½ years, in 1996, Audrey escaped corporate America. She proudly wears the label of “recovering engineer” although that problem-solving perspective is a gift she still uses on a daily basis for her clients; many of whom, as you would expect, are engineers themselves.
Audrey is active with her local REALTOR® association, serving as the Education Committee Vice Chair; she is also a member of the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Committee and Independent Brokers Network (IBN).
Audrey married her college sweetheart, Chris, in March 2000. Theirs is a true Aggie love story; starting with their first meeting (Engineering 109, freshman year), to his proposal (under the Century Oak), and through their wedding (which included the Aggie War Hymn). Their story continues with their two children, affectionately known as “The Reedlets”: Logan, Class of ‘30, and Tegan, Class of ’32.
The Reed family resides in McKinney, and their children attend Lois Lindsey Elementary in Allen ISD. When she’s not with clients or chasing kids, you’ll probably find Audrey with a camera in her hand or volunteering at Christ Fellowship Church where she and her husband serve as Coordinators for Financial Peace University. In her “spare” time, Audrey also serves as President of the McKinney Village Park Home Owners Association.
